Navigating the Tricosm — Spirit, Mind & Matter

Navigating the Tricosm — Spirit, Mind & Matter

A Retreat in Bad Bevensen, Germany
Week 1, July 28 – August 3, 2024

Temporary registration stop

We are delighted with the high number of registrations so early in the year. There are currently 100 participants registered for Pir Zia. We are now checking whether we still need to keep places available for a Young Adult program, so registration is closed for the time being. If you would like to be on the waiting list, please send an informal message to info@zenithinstitute.com. To register for online participation, see the ticket option at the bottom of the page.

Goldfish are known to stay small when kept in little containers, and to grow large when introduced to spacious lotus-strewn waters. We human beings are psychically sized in accord with the paradigms we inhabit. When we occupy brittle flatlands, our own beings are consequently truncated. Conversely, when we rediscover the multidimensionality of reality, we unfurl forgotten potentialities. But paradoxically, to become fuller is to become more empty as we realize that in this vast, interconnected tricosm of spirit, mind, and matter, all experiences ultimately derive from and accrue to the One, whose ecstasy lies at the center of it all.

In this five-day retreat, through discourse, meditation, and zikr, we will survey the mesh of the spiritual, mental, and physical worlds, rediscover our location within the tapestry, and rededicate ourselves as instruments of the Mystery from which all has come into being, and into which all is dissolving.

Pir Zia Inayat Khan carries the Sufi lineage of his grandfather, Hazrat Inayat Khan. He received his Ph.D. in Religion from Duke University. His books include Saracen Chivalry: Counsels on Valor, Generosity, and the Mystical Quest, Mingled Waters: Sufism and the Mystical Unity of Religions, and Dream Flowers: The Collected Works of Noor Inayat Khan. Pir Zia is president of the Inayatiyya and founder of Suluk Academy. Now based in Richmond, Virginia, he and his family live both in the United States and France.

This program takes place at the Caduceus Center, Niendorfer Weg 5b, 29549 Bad Bevensen, Germany. Find all the information about our location for this summer’s program here.
