Summer Program 2024

We are excited to announce that the Caduceus Center has agreed to host a two-week program with the camp during their usual summer break! This will allow us to come together as a community, experience a rich program, and create a vision for the future of the camp. You can find all the details about the general conditions such as accommodation and meals here on this page, registration takes place via the program pages. We’re aware that the North German Plain isn’t the same as the majestic nature of the Swiss Alps, but the secluded clearing among the fragrant pine trees has its own enchantment, alive with the vibrant symphony of many singing birds. We’d be happy to welcome you here this summer!

Dates & Arrival

The first seminar week takes place from July 28 to August 3, and the second seminar week from August 4 to August 10. The week begins as usual with an introduction on Sunday evening and ends with a Cosmic Celebration on Saturday lunchtime. Arrival day is Sunday. If you would like to arrive on Saturday, please contact the camp secretariat on-site so that we can schedule you for dinner. Departure day is Saturday or Sunday. As places are limited this time, we ask you to refrain from arriving earlier.

Accommodation

There are plenty of opportunities to camp on the extensive forest grounds of the Caduceus Center. There will be sufficient shower and washing facilities as well as toilets on different locations around the grounds. There are some limited spaces for campers and caravans, so please indicate this when registering.

If you do not want to camp, please arrange your accommodation in good time. Bad Bevensen is a spa town with many hotels, guesthouses, and vacation apartments. The Caduceus Center maintains a good directory of accommodation in close distance, which you can download here. The few cabins at the Caduceus Center that are not allocated to teachers or musicians are given to participants according to availability and demand.

Meals

We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to proven camp recipes, vegetarian and vegan. This time, all food is organic. As some of you will want to have breakfast in your accommodation or eat out, only lunch is included in the event price. If you would like breakfast (35€ / week) and dinner (60€ / week), please select this on the registration page.

What remains the same & what is different this year

Amid change, we offer you familiar structures, such as the wonderful program with our teachers. It will follow the same times as in Switzerland, with morning meditation and evening program. We can also offer a children’s program, which Gemma Hauser will design as a wilderness education program. This year, however, some things will be different:

  • Due to the space available, there’s a maximum number of registrations, which is why we recommend you register early. We might be booked out at some point!
  • We do not rent out white tents or dormitory beds. If you are not camping, you must arrange accommodation in good time.
  • As there are fewer costs involved, we can offer participation at a more affordable price than usual.
  • The Caduceus Center is located next to the Caduceus Clinic, a psychosomatic clinic. We respect the patients’ special need for protection and do not stay on the clinic grounds.
  • The forest in which the Caduceus Center is located is mostly dry pine forest in summer. Open fires are absolutely forbidden! Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas.
  • Some will prefer to have breakfast in their accommodation, so we offer breakfast and dinner as an option this time.
  • We cannot facilitate individual retreats during the camp. If you would like to do an individual retreat outside the camp times, we can refer you to the lists of Inayatiyya Germany and the Caduceus Center.
  • Unfortunately, there will be no Workcamp and takedown like in Switzerland.
  • There will be no Workstudy program. We are working with a relatively small staff, if you would like to join us, please send us an email.
  • We will probably not be able to offer a teen program. Should this change, you will be informed in our newsletter!
