Program for Teenagers

An adventurous week in Bad Bevensen, Germany
Week 1, July 27 – August 02, 2025

In all ancient cultures, the transition from childhood to adulthood was accompanied by initiation rituals, a part that our society often misses out on. Even though we cannot replace lost traditions in one week, we think it’s important to offer a space just for this very unique stage in life’s journey, where change and maturing are allowed to happen. Growing up can be intense! In our offerings we respect both the becoming adult that needs trust and responsibility, as well as the child that needs play and laughter. We’re happy to have a wonderful teenie-team this week, and here’s what they write:

Teenagers, come and join us for sensory outdoor adventures during the first Zenith week! Get ready for games, community, singing, and connecting with nature. Delphine and David-Julian will hold the frame for a joyful week, which we will co-create together with you.

David-Julian about Delphine:

Delphine is a joyful and passionate person who inspires me in their vitality and their courage to speak their mind. They have come to the Zenith Camp for many years. They are a faithful member of the Young Adults group, for whom they have  co-organised the Young Adult winter Retreat several times. Delphine lives in a small multigenerational community in France and if they are not building something or chopping wood, they surely brighten up their environment with their strong sense for (political) justice or their deep tenderness for life. Working with Delphine is so much fun, I am looking forward to providing the Teenie program with them.

Delphine about David-Julian:

Year after year, David-Julian has been a dedicated soul in the Zenith Camp, as a participant but even more so as a staff member. He has a keen appreciation for youths and community work, and has carried out Wilderness camps with groups of teenagers in Germany which he has a training in. I admire his passion for reflection on what brings a community together, his activism through and towards that and to pick only a couple other of his qualities: his sensitivity, his eagerness for laughter and connection and of course his big heart and smile!
